Nancy Martha Owens
Nancy Martha Owens, age 65, of York, PA entered into eternal rest on Sunday March 11, 2018. She was the wife of 41 years of the late Jerry Todd Owens and now joins him in heaven.
Born June 8, 1952 in Flora Park, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Charlotte (Horstkotte) Lund.
Nancy graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1970, attended Lenox Hill Hospital and later graduated from York Hospital School of Nursing in 1973, where she worked as a nurse for over thirty years. While employed there, she touched many lives and helped many people. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Nancy is survived by a daughter, Amy Owens and her fiance’ Matthew of Mechanicsburg, PA, a son, David Christopher Owens and his wife Ang of York, PA, a granddaughter, Chloe Owens, a brother, Tommy Lund of Long Island, NY and a sister, Ellen Grady of Fairfield, CT.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at Zion United Methodist Church, 1030 Carlisle Road, York, PA with the Rev. Bruce E. Fensterbush, officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.
