Obituary for
Charles Terry "Terry" Ray
Charles Terry Ray, known to all as Terry, 67, of Dallastown, died peacefully, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the York Hospital. Born in Marion, NC on July 5, 1950, he was the son of the late James T. and Lillian (Hogan) Ray. Terry was the loving husband and best friend of 47 years to Kathleen O. (Badders) Ray.
Terry was the owner and operator of RayTech Mechanical Services, Inc., providing HVAC and electrical services. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. Terry attended Living Word Community Church and his home church, Stewartstown United Methodist Church.
Terry could always be seen in his blue denim shirt jacket, whether watching the late #3 Dale Earnhardt in a NASCAR race or camping or traveling. Terry was generous and extremely loyal to friends and family, he could always be counted on to help someone in need.
Terry was above all, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He cherished time spent with family, from the trips with Kathleen to the Scrabble and card games with family. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, and enjoyed every moment spent with them.
In addition to his wife, Terry is survived by his daughter, Tracy L. Price, and her husband John T. Price of Felton; his son, Keith M. Ray, and his wife, Jeanine M. Ray of Windsor; his siblings, Patsy Jo Martin of Baltimore, MD, James E. Ray, and his wife, JoAnn of Marion, NC, Julia Kamberger, and her husband, Ed of Forrest Hills, MD, Jerry T. Ray, and his wife, Patricia of Disputanta, VA, Mary K. Valentine, and her husband, James of Felton, and Michael A. Ray of Marion, NC, and his sister-in-law Debbie Ray, wife of Terry’s late brother, Bobby L. Ray. Terry is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Whitney K. Price, Paige E. Price, Nicholas J. Price, and Connor M. Ray.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Stewartstown United Methodist Church, 26 South Main Street, Stewartstown, Pa 17363 with Pastor Keith O. Braucher officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
