Lois M. Wilshere (Fullmer)
Lois M. Wilshere, 86, of York, died on September 1, 2017 at Manor Care – North York. She was the wife of the late William L. Wilshere. Born in Elyria, OH on May 29, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Marie (Zilch) Fullmer and step daughter of the late Lavern (Mast) Fullmer.
Lois worked as a clerk at Montgomery Ward and as a lunch lady in the Central York School District.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, York and sang on the choir. Lois was a graduate of Elyria High School and was a member of 4 – H, the Welcome Wagon and the Ohio Grange.
She is survived by five children, Lawrence E. Wilshere and his wife Janine of Lumberton, NJ, Linda L. Moffitt and her husband John of Felton, Mary Jane Van Why and her husband William of York, Sue Ann Miller and her husband Keith of York and Pamela Jean Robertson and her husband G. Louis of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday September 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
