Emil J. Denise
Emil J. Denise, 89, of York, passed on Friday May 5, 2017 at Rest Haven – York. He was the husband of Joanne A. (Kinneman) Denise of York. Born in Bethlehem on May 18, 1927, he was the son of the late John Michael and Mary D. (Ulej) Denise.
Emil was a 1942 graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific.
He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and a life member of both the Red Lion VFW Post 1446 and the Red Lion American Legion Post 543. He was employed in the Crown and Bridge Research Department of Dentsply Inc.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Christine Silar of Spring Grove; two grandchildren Rebekah and Benjamin Silar; as well as, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In accordance with the deceased wishes, the funeral service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
