Obituary for
Linda B. Wecker
Linda B. Wecker, age 71, of York, died peacefully, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the York Hospital. Born on May 29, 1945 in York, she was the daughter of the late Clair H. and Helen P. (Lightner) Baker. Linda was the loving wife of Phillip H. Wecker; they were married August 17, 1968.
Linda was a loving homemaker, who later in life went to work for the Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 as a teacher’s aide. She was a former Sunday school teacher. Linda enjoyed singing and art. She had a deep love for helping children, becoming an adoptive parent. She especially enjoyed working with children who were mentally disabled. Linda was above all cherished time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her children: Connie Keeffer, Mark Wecker, Michelle Hensley, Terry Wecker, Christopher Wecker, and Shawn Wecker. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Katy Cottrill, Kerry Wecker, Phillip Wecker, Lilly Hensley, Molly Hensley, Falcon Hensley, and Kaydence Wecker. She was preceded in death by her brother Larry C. Baker, Sr.
A funeral service for Linda will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10:00am from the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York. Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Indiantown Gap Road (PA 934), Annville. A viewing for Linda will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 to 10:00am.
