Annie B. Sullivan Ruppert (Hibner)
Annie B. (Hibner) Sullivan Ruppert, 97, died on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home.
She was the wife of the late Sterling E. Sullivan, Sr. and the late Millard E. Ruppert.
Annie was born in West York on October 13, 1919, daughter of the late George W. and Grace Ellen (Baughman) Hibner.
Annie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Manchester Assembly of God. She enjoyed going to Windy Hill and Golden Age Senior Centers. Annie also enjoyed crocheting and doing word books.
She is survived by a son, Sterling E. Sullivan, Jr. and his wife, Gladys of York; daughter, Wanda L. Penn of York; seven grandchildren, Wanda Mae, John David, Mark Howard, Timothy Ernest, Daniel Eugene, Elizabeth Mae, and Diane Eileen; 10 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; step daughter, Donna Lentz of Manchester; step son, Rick Ruppert of Biglerville; and a sister, Barbara Thoman of York. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Arlene Sullivan and Geraldine M. Cain; a son, Ferman E. Hibner; a granddaughter, Jo Ann Sullivan; a grandson, Michael Patrick Hibner; a step son, Barry Ruppert; and five sisters, Grace, Romaine, Carrie, Mary, and Dorothy.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, with Pastor Tom Gilman officiating. There will be a viewing on Friday from 1 to 2 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery in Dover.
