Wayne E. Paup
Wayne E. Paup, 76, passed peacefully February 17, 2017 in York County.
He was born on October 11, 1940 in York to the late Ralph H. and Marie (Abel) Paup.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Paup (Brill), his two children, David and his wife, Janell Paup of York; Melinda and her husband, Joe Billet of Wrightsville; his two step children, David and his wife, Traci Brill of Lancaster; Pilar and her husband, Brandon Hoff of York; his ten grandchildren, Amanda Enedy, Patrick, Logan & Kyle Billet, Derek, Tyler, & Evan Brill, Sophia, Harper, and Cole Hoff; his two great grandchildren, Morgan and Paige Enedy; his sister, Regina Eaton; and his furry buddy, Coco Paup.
Wayne graduated from Eastern High School and afterwards served our county as a Corporal in the U.S. Marines. He returned home and with hard work and dedication, retired as President from York Casket. He spent his entire life in his hometown and continued his legacy as proud owner of Locust Run Kennels while showing his prize St. Bernards across the country. At the time of his death, he was a board member of the York Solid Waste Authority and an avid horse rider with his loved riding partners. He was a true farm boy and spent much of his “retired” years caring for his six horses and one mule.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Canadochly Evangelical and Reformed Church, 4845 E. Prospect Road, York, with the Rev. William H. Baral officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
