Obituary for Dale E Fogle

Dale E  Fogle
Dale E. Fogle, 85, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home.

He was the husband of Ruthetta “Rosie” V. (Rauhauser) Fogle. The couple was united in marriage on January 1, 1955, sharing 62 years together.

Dale was born in York on February 13, 1931 and was the son of the late Charles A. and Anna P. (Reese) Fogle.

Dale graduated from William Penn Senior High School, Class of 1950. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed with York-Hoover Casket Company. Dale was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where he served as an Elder, greeter, and also helped with Sunday School.

In addition to his wife, Dale is survived by two daughters, Debra F. Horlebein and her husband, Steven of Spanish Fort, AL and Sandra R. Hetrick and her husband, Ronald of Camp Hill; a son, David E. Fogle and his wife, Nancy Ann Rossi of York; six grandchildren, Melanie Bunting Seymour, Shonna Horlebein, Braden and Dillon Hetrick, Blaze and Brock Fogle; a great granddaughter, Lola Stiell; a brother, Francis C. Fogle and his wife, Marion of York; a sister, Norma Jean Null of Shiloh, a sister-in-law, Phyllis Fogle; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon R. Fogle and Donald R. Fogle; and two sisters, Louise Sprenkle and Audey P. Orr.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 9, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, 2580 Mount Rose Ave., York, with the Rev. Tab E. Cosgrove officiating. There will be a viewing on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the York County Veteran Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 224 St. Charles Way, Suite 200, York, PA 17402 or to St. John Lutheran Church, 2580 Mount Rose Ave., York, PA 17402.
