Obituary for Susan J. Zeiders

Susan J. Zeiders, age 75, of York, died peacefully at home, Friday, November 25, 2016. Born in York on March 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Kathryn (Harner) Hauer.

Susan retired from Pleasant Acres Nursing Home, where she worked as a CNA and then in the Nursing Services Office. Earlier in her career she was a clerk at the Turkey Hill Minit Market on East Market Street in Stony Brook.

Susan enjoyed reading, watching golf, and playing Yahtzee. She loved to bake cookies, and was famous for her sand tarts at Christmas time.

Susan is survived by her son: Paul E. Zeiders of York, her daughter: Deborah S. Dubbs and her husband Jerry of York, her sister: Nancy Jacobs, and her beloved grandchildren: Jordan Dubbs, Ryan Dubbs, Owen Dubbs, Hailie Zeiders, Christopher Shriner, Jonathan Shriner, Nelson Reachard, and Mason Reachard. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Karen A. Reachard.

Private services for Susan will be held at the convenience of the family.
