Obituary for
Wayne L. Smith
Wayne L. Smith, 70, went home to be with the Lord, after a battle with cancer, on Friday, October 14, 2016.
He was the husband of Patricia A. Smith, sharing 21 years together.
Wayne was born in Baltimore, MD on July 6, 1946 and was the son of the late Edward J. and Thelma A. (Obitz) Smith.
In addition to his wife, Wayne is survived by a son, David Smith (Theresa); two daughters, Kimberly Smith and Betsey Watson (Michael); two step-daughters, Michelle Kahl (Craig) and Jennifer Preller (David); seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Smith; and two great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 700 Hellam Street, Wrightsville, with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a cancer charity of your choice.
