Obituary for Marlene L. Heede

Marlene L.  Heede
Marlene L. Heede, 71, of York died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her residence.

Born September 26, 1944 in York, she was the daughter of the late Fritz P. and Ethel L. (Schaale) Heede.

Marlene was an administrative assistant for the Patrick Organization. She had also worked as a court reporter for the York County Courthouse and was a former compensation analysis at Westinghouse.

Marlene was a 1962 graduate of West York High School and received her Business Administration Degree from Columbia Union College in Tacoma Park, Washington, D.C. She attended Living Word Community Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristine L. and her husband, Wayne Neidecker of Sykesville, MD; 2 grandchildren, Lindsay K. Woodruff and Zachary R. Jones; a step granddaughter, Amy and her husband, Jacob Morrow; 2 great grandchildren; 2 step sons, Jim and his wife, April Giuffrida of Reading and John Giuffrida of Red Lion and their families; 3 sisters, Carol and her husband, Jay Myers of Felton, Janice Byrum of York, and Deborah and her husband, John Flinchbaugh of York; and 2 brothers, Fritz and his wife, Amalia Heede of Texas and Ronald and his wife, Loretta Heede of Florida. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Sonia Godwin and Jean Hoke.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 25 West Springettsbury Avenue, York with the Rev. Stanley D. Reep officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
